Affinia Group Inc., supplier of the NAPA Filters brand, was presented the 2005 Spirit of NAPA Award at the 2005 NAPA Fall Sales Meeting held in Atlanta, GA.

The Spirit of NAPA Award is presented to the manufacturer/supplier that has provided the most outstanding service and sales growth to the NAPA organization during the year. In addition to filtration, which in 2006 will celebrate its 40th year of service to NAPA, Affinia’s Under Vehicle Group is a long-standing supplier of NAPA brake and chassis parts. Between the three product categories, Affinia’s companies have won the Spirit of NAPA award nine out of the last 11 years.

“Receiving the Spirit of NAPA award is a testament to Affinia’s dedication and commitment to our customer,” said Terry McCormack, president and CEO of Affinia Group Inc. "The past year has been an exciting one for all of us, but certainly wasn’t without distraction or uncertainty. Since becoming a stand-alone company in December 2004, we have strengthened our focus on exceeding the expectations of our customers. I am proud of all of our people for the way we have united behind the single purpose of working as one team, serving our customers."

McCormack was among the group of Affinia people on stage to accept the award. He was accompanied by Gordon Curren, senior vice president of NAPA Customer Relationship Management, and several other key members of the Affinia filtration team.

"Earning the Spirit of NAPA Award 13 times in the 31 years it’s been presented is an amazing accomplishment, and I am incredibly proud of all of our people for their relentless focus on customer service," said Curren. "It’s also important to mention how fortunate we are to work with crews like they have at NAPA Headquarters, group offices, distribution centers and stores. We appreciate NAPA’s support of Affinia products."
