Know Your Parts Offers Technicians At AAPEX The Chance To Win A $5,000 Prize

After registering for the scavenger hunt at the Know Your Parts booth, participating technicians will work on visiting as many manufacturers' booths at AAPEX as possible.

The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) Know Your Parts (KYP) Booth (#34001) will feature a scavenger hunt that will be both fun and educational for industry technicians attending AAPEX. Technicians who visit the booth and participating supplier booths will have a chance to win a package prize valued at up to $5,000.

The goal is to help technicians learn about new tools and accessories, new product innovations like electric water pumps and GDI fuel pumps, and the newest TPMS technology, plus the latest advancements in diagnostic repair on vehicle electronics. After registering for the scavenger hunt at the Know Your Parts booth, participating technicians will work on visiting as many manufacturers’ booths at AAPEX as possible. The winner will be chosen from those technicians who are able to visit all participating manufacturers’ booths.

Members of the AASA Marketing Executives Council (MEC) who have dedicated brand sections on the Know Your Parts website are participating in the scavenger hunt. Those organizations include: BCA, Continental, CRC, Delphi, KYB, Lumileds, MAHLE, Schrader, SKF, Spectra Premium, Timken, Standard Motor Products and DRiV.

“We’re always looking to deliver more value to MEC members,” said Ben Brucato, senior director of engagement for AASA. “The scavenger hunt is a fun contest and gives technicians an exciting way to learn about new vehicle technologies and diagnostic procedures. The MEC members are very excited about this initiative and the opportunity to engage with technicians at their booths. They all contributed valuable items for the prize package.”

The Know Your Parts booth will also promote the MEC’s Fuel Delivery educational campaign  aimed to help reduce warranty returns of fuel pumps. KYP is dedicated to helping educate technicians on quality parts and what it takes to do the job right.
