Four Major Program Groups Donate $100,000 To University Of The Aftermarket Foundation In Memory Of Jack Creamer

Four major program groups have come together to donate $100,000 to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation in memory of Jack Creamer.

Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Automotive Distribution Network, Federated Auto Parts and National Pronto Association each contributed $25,000 to honor the industry icon and former vice chairman of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation who passed away March 25 at the age of 84.

Because the combined donation has reached the Lifetime Trustee contribution level, a new trustee will be appointed to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation board. That individual will be the reigning “Jack Creamer Leader of the Year” award recipient. The newly named award will be presented at the 2015 Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) awards ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 1 in Las Vegas, Nev.

“It is a testament to Jack’s reputation and legacy that these four competitors have come together to honor him,” said David Segal, vice chairman of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation Contribution Committee. “We want to thank them for their generosity and continued commitment to the betterment of the auto care industry. They know what a difference Jack made throughout his career and are committed to continuing his great work.”

To make a donation in memory of Jack Creamer, send a check, made payable to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation/Creamer Memorial, 7101 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite 1300, Bethesda, MD 20814. For more information, call (816) 584-0511 or email Barbara Cunningham at [email protected]. The foundation is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization and all contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
