E3 Spark Plugs will be involved in more than 100 Lucas Oil events this year in-tandem with Team Lucas. Bob Patison, Lucas Oil executive vice president & MAVTV president, said E3 Spark Plugs’ continued support also receives significant TV presence during CBS, CBS Sports Network, NBC Sports Network and MAVTV broadcasts of Lucas Oil events.

"Simply, Lucas Oil couldn’t bring exciting motorsports to fans without help from long term commitment partners like E3 Spark Plugs," Patison said. "It’s a tremendous commitment E3 Spark Plugs has to racing, racers and fans. We’re lucky and honored to have E3 Spark Plugs’ support, and know our fans will support the company in return."

Todd Arey, E3 Spark Plugs president & CEO, said: "Motorsports ignite our passion at E3 Spark Plugs and Team Lucas and the Lucas Oil racing ecosystem provide the perfect test bed for our product. In 2014 we plan to introduce a new race line of spark plugs designed specifically for the racer from Top Fuel drag racing to the dirt tracks."

With decades of experience in engineering and automotive technology, the founders of E3 Spark Plugs realized the key to producing better product didn’t rest in use of fancy metals, but required a new approach in electrode design that improved performance. After years of research, the E3 Diamond Fire spark plug electrode was developed as a better way to control burn and allow a faster flame that improved spark within combustion, resulting in increased power output, fuel efficiency and reduced emissions for gasoline engines. Today, E3 remains dedicated to reducing greenhouse emissions by limiting unburned fuel.

Toe Angles and Ride Height

Zero toe angle is present when both tires are parallel to the center thrustline.

How can a mysterious case of tire wear occur in a perfectly aligned vehicle? It happens and the answers aren’t always simple. To better explain, let’s go back a few decades when I aligned a 1983 Mitsubishi RWD pickup, only to have it return a month later with a tire scuffing complaint. Although the outside edge of the right front tire showed evidence of toe-related wear, the current toe angle was 0.100 inches, which is within the Mitsubishi’s +0.080” to +0.350“ specification.
