Founder Of Eden Prairie Auto Shop Wins National Humanitarian Award

National automotive aftermarket parts distributor Mighty Auto Parts recently recognized the volunteerism and charitable work of its business partners with the "Mightiest of the Mighty" awards. One of the three national winners was Bobby Williams, founder and senior partner of Bobby & Steve's Auto World, which provides the Greater Minneapolis area automotive service, parts and maintenance products at eight area locations. Keith Boyd from Columbus, Ohio, and David Epperly from Columbus, Ga., were also recognized.

One of the three national winners was Bobby Williams, founder and senior partner of Bobby & Steve’s Auto World, which provides the Greater Minneapolis area automotive service, parts and maintenance products at eight area locations. Keith Boyd from Columbus, Ohio, and David Epperly from Columbus, Ga., were also recognized.

“The program celebrates the dramatic impact that one business and one person can make through volunteerism, charitable giving and philanthropic support,” said Ken Voelker, president and CEO of Mighty Auto Parts “We are proud to have Bobby as a customer and in honor of his work in the Twin Cities community, Mighty has donated $5,000 to Bobby & Steve’s Auto World Youth Foundation.”

Established in February 2007, the Foundation promotes healthy living and literacy among local youth. The Foundation has partnered with communities throughout the Twin Cities Metro Area to build and refurbish playgrounds. Recent projects include building a skateboard park in Bloomington and renovating the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Minneapolis.

In 2012, the Foundation starting an aggressive reading program to promote literacy by hosting events like ”Reading with Santa” and providing new books for children. Bobby & Steve’s Auto World Youth Foundation also provides annual grants to youth organizations and awards student scholarships.
