Dayco Contest Gives Motorists A Chance To Win Replacement Automotive Parts

Dayco has selected April – National Car Care Month – to launch a spring promotion that aims to remind motorists to have important preventative maintenance procedures completed on their vehicles.
To help one consumer replace parts that may be worn and close to failing, Dayco will give away one set of all parts it manufactures for one vehicle as part of its Spring Preventative Maintenance Parts Giveaway on Facebook.
To become eligible, interested parties must follow three steps:

•   “Like” Dayco Products on Facebook (Facebook.com/DaycoProducts);

•   “Share” the contest status update on Facebook; and

•   “Comment” to tell Dayco why replacement parts are needed.

“The spring season is the perfect time for preventative maintenance, whether the vehicle-owner uses a shop or completes the work themself,” said Robert Christy, director of marketing for the North American Aftermarket Division of Dayco Products. “And serpentine belts are one of the most overlooked maintenance items on vehicles. This contest will give one driver the chance to replace those parts before failure causes additional repair issues and higher costs.”

With the help of the Car Care Council’s annual vehicle check-up events held every spring and fall, Dayco has found that one in every five vehicles on the road has a serpentine belt that needs replaced, and 80 percent of all belt failures happen on vehicles with over 85,000 miles.

The Spring Preventative Maintenance Parts Giveaway on Facebook will run April 15-30, 2013.
