Magnum Gaskets, an MSI brand, announced it will exhibit for the first time at the 2012 AAPEX Show in Las Vegas.

For nearly 20 years, Magnum’s parent company, Modern Silicone Technologies (MSI), has been a leading supplier of high-tech molded valve cover, oil pan and manifold gaskets to major aftermarket brands and OE manufacturers.

"AAPEX gives us an ideal opportunity to meet potential and existing customers face to face," said Alex Grunfeld, executive vice president at Magnum. "From launching the Magnum Gaskets brand earlier this year, to doubling our production and distribution capacity this fall, we have a compelling story to tell.”

“Visitors will be impressed,” added Derek Data, vice president at Magnum. “After years of indirectly supplying the aftermarket with North America’s finest gaskets, we’ve cut out the Wall Street corporate middleman and are bringing the Magnum brand directly to aftermarket distribution.”

To better explain, let’s go back a few decades when I aligned a 1983 Mitsubishi RWD pickup, only to have it return a month later with a tire scuffing complaint. Although the outside edge of the right front tire showed evidence of toe-related wear, the current toe angle was 0.100 inches, which is within the Mitsubishi’s +0.080” to +0.350“ specification.
