The evening culminated with plenty of time for attendees to network.

This event was held the day before the University of the Aftermarket’s Aftermarket 101 class, which also was hosted by Federal-Mogul Motorparts at its headquarters.

The YANG Regional Meet-Up program was launched in June 2015. All professionals, both members and non-members, under the age of 40 in the industry are encouraged to attend the events for in-person networking without having to travel far from home.

Axle Torque Procedures

Guessing the correct torque setting is a bad idea.

The physics of all threaded fasteners are the same. As the bolt and nut are turned, the spiral threads convert rotational force into a linear force that creates clamping loads. When a threaded fastener is tightened, it stretches. Since metal is elastic, even greater clamping loads are generated. The threads also generate friction that keeps the assembly together.
