A challenging no-crank/no-start condition on a 1996 4.0L Jeep Cherokee is the latest diagnostic case study featured in the popular, free “Wells Tech” video training series from Wells Vehicle Electronics. Wells training videos are available 24/7 via the company’s YouTube channel as well as the “Wells Tech” link at www.wellsVE.com.

ASE Master Technician Jim Gehl hosts this six-minute program detailing diagnosis of a well-hidden circuit issue on a Jeep equipped with a four-pin relay. The video examines each step in the repair and includes vital information regarding relay design and operation.

“This video can help technicians save a lot of time and aggravation when working on any vehicle with a similar starting system layout,” said Mark Hicks, technical services manager, Wells. “In this particular case, the customer had already installed a new starter and ignition switch and was losing patience. Each of our diagnostic case studies takes a real-world approach to the challenges facing today’s technicians and shop owners.”

The Wells video library includes more than two dozen in-depth training segments covering a broad range of drivability and related topics. The videos can be accessed by searching for “Wells Vehicle Electronics” on YouTube.com  and through the company’s award-winning www.wellsVE.com website.
