Longtime NHRA sponsor Valvoline recently announced plans to step up its support of NHRA racers next year by adding sponsorship of a multi-car Pro team and extending its support of key Sportsman racers in a multi-year deal.

Valvoline joins Don Schumacher Racing (DSR) as “Official Oil” on all 10 DSR teams. The iconic Valvoline “V” will be featured prominently on the vehicles of Tony Schumacher, Whit Bazemore, Ron Capps, Gary Scelzi, Richie Stevens, Melanie Troxel, Mike Ashley, Erica Enders, Antron Brown and Angelle Sampey.

The other big news is that Valvoline has renewed sponsorship of the David Powers Motorsports Top Fuel team and driver Hot Rod Fuller. Valvoline will continue its sponsorship of Pro Stock driver Ron Krisher.

For 2007 Valvoline will continue support of an impressive lineup of NHRA Sportsman racers including three-time National Champion Bob Newberry, Jay Payne, Shelly Payne, Sherman Adcock Jr., Dan Fletcher, Tony Fuller, David Tatum, Jimmy Ayers, Bernie Cunningham and others. In addition to sponsored Pro and Sportsman racers, Valvoline will continue contingency sponsorships at all NHRA national events for the Valvoline, Eagle One, Zerex and Pyroil brands.
