The Equipment and Tool Institute has announced that registration for ToolTech 2006, presented by ETI, is now available online. This two-day sales and marketing event will take place April 18-20, 2006 at the Scottsdale Plaza in Scottsdale, AZ.

ToolTech 2006 is designed to bring those that make, sell, rep or buy automotive tools and equipment together. It is an opportunity for companies to come and promote themselves, their capabilities and their products. It is also an opportunity for buyers in the vehicle service industry to meet with the key companies in the marketplace. In attendance this will be OEMs, tool and equipment companies, national chain stores, large suppliers, dealer groups, manufacturer reps and many other industry professionals.

In a move to create an even more successful event this year, ETI has changed its attendance policy for 2006. "During the 2005 event most of the activities were limited to only members of ETI. This year the entire event is open to the whole industry. Non-ETI members are invited to come and participate," said Brian Irish, marketing manager for ETI. "We see this as a win-win situation for ETI and the industry."

This year’s schedule of events includes some changes suggested by last year’s attendees. Some of the ToolTech 2006 highlights will include:
• ToolTech Opening Reception (Tuesday evening)
• Company Showcase – now open to any interested tool or equipment company (Wednesday)
• Shop Talk Presentations (Wednesday and Thursday)
– A Marketing Approach to ODX
– Successful China Strategies: 7 Reasons Why Companies Fail
– NASCAR Inspections Program
– National Retailer Tool and Equipment Program
• Two days of One-on-Ones — 45-minute private meetings with companies of your choosing (Wednesday and Thursday)
• Annual ToolTech Golf Tournament (Thursday afternoon)
• Closing Banquet (Thursday Evening)
• Friday Busch Series Race Package — ETI has teamed up with NASCAR to provide this full day of race activities
