Tenneco Investing In New Monroe Quick-Strut Assembly Capacity, Coverage To Meet Record Demand

MonroeFor the 10th straight year, Tenneco said it plans to invest in additional production capacity and expanded application coverage for its line of premium Monroe Quick-Strut replacement strut assemblies. The latest investment, which will include two additional production cells at the company’s ride control manufacturing facility in Paragould, Ark., comes in response to double-digit sales growth for the company’s ready-to-install, fully guaranteed, complete replacement strut solution.

“Monroe Quick-Strut assemblies continue to lead the market in terms of sales and customer satisfaction,” said Bill Dennie, director, ride control channel management, Tenneco North America Aftermarket. “Professional service providers appreciate the fact that they can perform a complete, high-quality strut replacement in a fraction of the time as compared to assembling each component individually. More importantly, they understand that by choosing a genuine Monroe Quick-Strut unit, they are installing a guaranteed solution that has been engineered and tested specifically for the vehicle they are repairing.”

Tenneco will add nearly 50 Quick-Strut part numbers in early 2015, expanding the line’s coverage to more than 114 million late-model passenger cars, vans, light trucks and sport utility vehicles.

Monroe Quick-Strut units are a complete, bolt-on solution featuring all of the OE-style components required for a comprehensive strut repair, Tenneco says. Each premium unit includes a pre-assembled OE-style bearing plate, upper and lower spring isolators, upper spring seat, coil spring, boot kit and a premium strut engineered to address the vehicle’s unique ride and handling characteristics. According to Tenneco, this design reduces installation time by eliminating the need to disassemble components and compress the coil spring. It also helps eliminate ride control comebacks commonly caused by failure to replace worn parts, the company adds.

“Reusing a worn upper strut bearing, in particular, is a leading cause of ride control comebacks,” Dennie said. “Getting it right the first time on a ride control sale is critical to maintaining customer loyalty, and installing a Monroe Quick-Strut unit helps avoid unnecessary problems for the shop and consumer.”

Each Monroe Quick-Strut assembly is covered by Tenneco’s limited lifetime warranty and 90-day Safe & Sound Guarantee.
