When preparing for summer roadtrips this year, motorists can earn a cash-back rebate on qualifying premium ride control products. The “Safe Summer Roadtrip” mail-in rebate promotion is sponsored by Monroe shocks and struts and Rancho suspension systems and shocks, both brands of Tenneco Inc.

Monroe shocks and struts, one of North America’s leading brands of shocks, struts and related automotive technologies, recommends a safety check on vehicles’ safety-critical components, like shocks and struts, at 50,000 miles.

The Motorist Assurance Program recommends the 50,000-mile replacement guideline and safety check to help technicians and motorists accurately diagnose the presence of worn ride control components to improve vehicle ride and handling and protect component integrity.

“There’s nothing more important than having a service professional check your vehicle before a vacation, and there’s no better time to save on premium ride control components than during the ‘Safe Summer Roadtrip’ promotion,” said Sheryl Bomia, North American Aftermarket programs manager for Tenneco.

The “Safe Summer Roadtrip” promotion will run from July 1 through July 31, 2007. Motorists who purchase four qualifying Monroe Reflex or Sensa-Trac shocks and struts and Gas-Magnum shocks for the same vehicle will receive a mail-in rebate equal to the value of the lowest cost unit, excluding tax and installation charges. The promotion also is available for several Rancho products, including Rancho RS9000X Pro Series, RS9000X, RSX and RS5000 shock absorbers.

The “Safe Summer Roadtrip” mail-in promotion forms and more information are available online at www.monroe.com, or write to Monroe Marketing, One International Drive, Monroe, MI 48161.
