The fourth-generation Subaru Legacy was produced from 2005-2009. It was available as both a sedan and a wagon until 2008 when the wagon was dropped. Visual confirmation may be needed and you may also need to look up RPO codes. During the production run, there were models with Brembo brakes, all-wheel-drive and even advanced driver assistance safety systems (ADAS).

Alignment Specs: 2006-2016 Chrysler LX/LD

When something works, you don’t change it. This is the case with the Chrysler LX/LD platform used for the Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300. The suspension was taken from a Mercedes platform when the company was part of Daimler. The alignment of this platform is basically the same from 2006 to 2016.

Alignment Specs: 2006-2010 Volkswagen Passat And 2009-2012 CC (B6 Platform)

The VW B6 Passat for 2006 was an entirely new design. It was followed by the coupe CC in 2009. The complicated four-link front suspension from the B5 platform with four ball joints was replaced with a cast-aluminum lower control arm and a MacPherson strut. In the rear, the Passat received an independent suspension with a trailing link design.

Alignment Specs: 2011-2018 Volkswagen Touareg

The Touareg is not your typical vehicle to align. It has a stability control system that needs a recalibration of the steering angle sensor if the toe front or rear is adjusted. On vehicles with air ride systems, lifting the vehicle for a repair requires that the vehicle lift mode must be activated. The vehicle lift mode switches the air suspension control off. This prevents readjusting of the air springs when the vehicle is lifted. Vehicle lift mode is automatically switched off at a speed above 3 mph.

Stacked Alignment: Solving Lead/Pull Conditions

Lead/pull conditions occur at all speeds. In general, the amount of force on the steering wheel or steering angle will increase with speed. If the customer states the lead/pull problem is sporadic, the cause could be the stability control system or electric power steering system.

Alignment Specs: 2011-2014 Chrysler 200

When aligning any vehicle, look at the tires to reveal any wear and potential angle problems. Make sure the tires match from side to side. Inspect the lower front ball joints, these are prone to wear out. Also, check the condition of the lower control arm bushings.
