Sunpro – The Performance Legend – is the official tach and gauge sponsor of the 2008 HOT ROD Magazine Power Tour. "The original Sun Super Tach is iconic of the 1960s and 70s hot rod era," said Joe Young, product manager, Sunpro. "To this day it remains perhaps the world’s most recognizable tachometer. We’re looking forward to the 2008 Power Tour as an opportunity to relive 1968 and reconnect with enthusiasts who grew up with our gauges in their dashboards."

Throughout the eight-day tour, which kicks off at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds (Little Rock, AR) on June 7, Sunpro will give show goers the chance to win an original muscle car – a 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T armed with a 440 Magnum V8 (375 horsepower; 480 lbs.-ft. torque) and Sunpro gauges.The classic MOPAR is the grand prize in the Actron and Sunpro "Muscle Car Sweepstakes."

Starting June 1, the contest will run through November 30, 2008. Entry forms will be available at events where Sunpro exhibits and at stores where Sunpro- and Actron-brand products are sold, including Advance Auto Parts, Auto Zone, Pep Boys and Sears. At each Power Tour stop Sunpro will display the beautifully restored ’69 Coronet. The seven-city HOT ROD Power Tour will depart Little Rock for Springfield, MO (June 8), Topeka, KS (June 9), Lincoln, NB (June 10), Ames, IA (June 11) and Rochester, MN(June 12) before wrapping-up in Madison, WI (June 13, 14).
