Standard Motor Products Inc. (SMP) has announced its latest TechSmart line expansion for 2013. TechSmart has added 95 new premium parts to its growing line of engine control products, covering more than 85 million vehicle applications.

Highlighting this release are several exciting new problem-solving solutions, including DISA valve repair kits for BMW’s common DISA valve failure, throttle position sensor repair kits for Honda, a variable intake manifold repair kit for the high-failure Mercedes-Benz variable intake manifold and a repair kit for the high-failure Ford 6.0L diesel variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) actuator. Many of the new TechSmart repair kits provide solutions for components not serviced separately by the dealer and make available parts that were previously only available at the new car dealer, according to SMP.

“TechSmart is recognized in the marketplace for its innovation, engineering expertise, superior product quality and competitive pricing,” said Phil Hutchens, vice president engine management marketing. “Each new part meets the TechSmart core criteria of providing professional service technicians with new technology, new categories and problem-solving improvements to the original.”
