Standard Engine Management announces Michael Wright of White House High School in White House, TN, is the grand-prize winner of a $5,000 automotive tool shopping spree, an iflash onboard programmer for his school and a one-year GM subscription in the “Tools of the Trade” sweepstakes promotion, which ran until Nov. 30, 2007.
Student technicians visited the Standard brand website at www.standardbrand.com to answer five questions about Standard, which qualified them for a chance to be an instant winner of a NASCAR Performance hat. With every visit, students were automatically entered into the “Tools of the Trade” sweepstakes.
The two second-place winners will each receive a $2,500 automotive tool shopping spree. The winners are Nicholas Wheaton of Genesee Valley Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) in Cowlesville, NY, and Kevin Centers of Brighton High School in Brighton, MI.
“We’re very pleased with the results of the ‘Tools of the Trade’ promotion as it not only introduced student technicians to the Standard brand, but also gave them the opportunity to visit our new website to learn about all the ways that Standard can help them diagnose and fix today’s high-tech vehicles,” said John Nodson, director of Standard brand marketing. “Plus, it was a chance to win valuable tools to get them started in their careers in the automotive industry.”
