With Snap-on’s latest software upgrade, Bundle 9.4, professional technicians have the ability to reset the CKP when the crankshaft position sensor and certain other GM engine components are replaced. This capability is now available for a great number of 1998-2009 GM vehicles.

“Snap-on’s Software Bundle 9.4 with the CKP relearn function eliminates lost opportunities for technicians because they can now complete the job on most GM vehicles right in their own shops,” said Chris Hockett, product manager for Snap-on Diagnostics. “Plus, they don’t have to spend hard-earned money on costly factory tools. This is just another example of how Snap-on offers real-world solutions to help technicians be more efficient and productive.”

In addition, Bundle 9.4 includes 45,000 new enhancements to codes, data and tests, plus new and expanded Troubleshooter tips that go back to 1981. It offers more diagnostics power for the vehicles that technicians see in their shops most often, as well as new vehicle coverage for every model year from 1998-2009 with access to more than 12,000 new systems, 10,000 more trouble codes and more than 8,000 new live data parameters.

To see all the vehicle platforms and systems covered in Bundle 9.4, ask a Snap-on representative to see the Snap-on vehicle coverage guide or visit the website at http://diagnostics.snapon.com/software.
