The Specialty Equipment Market Association, representing the world’s most innovative entrepreneurs, will enhance its upcoming Spring Expo by offering a series of educational seminars and tutorials specifically geared for the professional installer or retailer. These bright industry professionals are constantly seeking new knowledge and SEMA hopes to fill that need by sharing the latest observations in consumer buying trends and other relevant market forces.

"By sharing what we know about the national marketplace and regional activity with event participants, we hope to help put them ahead at the show of present market conditions. It’s one thing to see a new product or technology introduced and another to understand how it might benefit one’s business. SEMA is committed to introducing the newest products and to helping the exhibitor and his customer maximize their relationship. As in all things, education is key and knowledge is power – or as we say at SEMA – knowledge is performance and power," said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president, marketing and communications.

Exhibit days are scheduled for March 24-25, 2006. Educational seminars will be conducted March 23-26 and include topics such as: Tips on Storefront Marketing; Maximizing Your Company’s Exposure through Internet Marketing; Pricing for Profitability; and Using All Your Tools to Sell to Auto Dealers.

Roundtable discussions with the specialty equipment industry’s top business leaders will cover: Issues and Challenges in the Truck Accessory Marketplace; HR/Personnel Issues; Inventory Management; Sales, Margins and Advertising.

"We encourage attendees to take advantage of the educational seminars available to them at SEMA Spring Expo,” said MacGillivray. “They are a great opportunity for these smart folks to both learn about the latest business practices and network with their peers."

SEMA Spring Expo is sponsored by the Light-Truck Accessory Alliance (LTAA) and Professional Restyler’s Organization (PRO), and brings specialty equipment manufacturers and retailers together in one business forum. Held at the Indianapolis Convention Center, more than 200 exhibitors will display a variety of products and services covering accessories, restyling, wheels and tires and mobile electronics.
