Three contest winners have been named in this summer’s Royal Purple contests that were run exclusively from the Royal Purple Inc. Facebook Fan Page. Two winners were selected in the Royal Purple Show It Off at SEMA Contest and one winner from the Maxfilm Send Me to SEMA Contest.

Joe Cherry’s “El Nomado”, a 1958 Chevrolet custom phantom car and Shawn Kaufman’s Dodge Challenger R/T “Galvatron” painted Plum Crazy Purple will make the trip to this year’s SEMA Show as feature vehicles as guests of Royal Purple. The Show It Off at SEMA Contest received 36 entries overall, with the top ten receiving the most online votes moving on to final judging. El Nomado was a unanimous choice with Galavtron coming in second in the judges voting. Both vehicles will be placed at the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nov. 1 – 4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition to credentials to the show and an invitation to the winner’s dinner, Royal Purple will also provide wearables and custom designed brag boards for each vehicle. El Nomado uses Royal Purple motor oil, Max ATF transmission fluid and Max-Gear. Galvatron uses Royal Purple 5W-20 motor oil and Purple Ice radiator coolant additive.

The winner of the Maxfilm Send Me to SEMA Contest is Tammy Smith of California. Smith was selected at random from over 300 entries and received notification of her win on the day of her wedding anniversary. Smith said she planned to surprise her husband with the news later that day. To be eligible for the drawing, entrants were required to take a short quiz about Maxfilm, Royal Purple’s multi-purpose lubricant. Smith and her family are long time users of Royal Purple including motor oil, Max-Gear gear oil and Max-Tuff assembly lube. Smith and her husband Marty look forward to attending this year’s SEMA Show and will also receive Royal Purple wearables and will be guests at the winner’s dinner.

“We are very excited about the winners of the Royal Purple Summer SEMA Contests and look forward to sharing in their SEMA Show experiences,” said Royal Purple Communications Specialist Marlena Solomon.

Royal Purple’s next Facebook contest promotion will be an eight week Driver San Francisco sweepstakes in conjunction with game developer Ubisoft. During the eight weeks of the contest 12 randomly selected winners will win a copy of the Driver SF video game for either the Xbox 360 or Playstation3 game console. The Grand Prize is an Xbox 360 game console and copy of the Driver SF video game that will be drawn at the end of the contest. The start of the contest will be announced exclusively on the Royal Purple Facebook Fan Page at www.facebook.com/officialroyalpurple.
