Action Auto Repair Helps Families in Need

BECKLEY — The Raleigh County Community Action Association opened a car repair shop to help low-income families.

It’s called Action Auto Repair. The shop is open to the public, and will give discounts to those in need. Customers are asked to bring proof of their income to qualify for discount repairs.

"If something happens to your car in this economic times, you know your talking whether you pay your house payment or get your car fixed. That is why we are here, to try and help those who really need the help," said Harold Turnes, head mechanic.

The shop also offers mechanic training to community members. Anyone interested should call (304) 250-0073.

Action Auto Repair is located in between Gabriel Brothers and Big Lots in Beckley.
