Raybestos Introduces Truck And Medium-Duty Brake Pads

These specialty brake pads were developed for everyday heavy-use situations and specifically designed for fleets.

truck-packagingRaybestos has announced the availability of truck and medium-duty brake pads for truck fleets of all sizes using disc brakes from Class 1 hydraulics through Class 8 air disc. These specialty brake pads were developed for everyday heavy-use situations and specifically designed for fleets.

According to Raybestos, features of the new line include:

• Comprehensive and late-model coverage
• Designs and formulations that conform to OE fit, form and function
• Low-fade braking for optimum safety
• Heavy-duty performance with low dust
• Quiet operation, even in extreme situations
• All-weather stopping performance, even with heavy loads
• Hardware included, where applicable

“For dependable, long-wearing brake pads that provide an excellent cost per mile, you don’t need to look any further than Raybestos Truck & Medium Duty friction,” said Bruce Tartaglione, senior vice president of global sales and marketing for Brake Parts Inc. “Formulated to provide superior friction stability over a wide range of vehicle loads and brake temperatures, you can rely on Raybestos to help keep your fleet on the road.”

For Class 1 and Class 2 trucks, Raybestos truck brake pads are built to perform, the company says. Attributes include mechanically attached friction whenever the application demands it, providing increased safety through the reduction of rust jacking and bonding failure, and best-in-box formulations specific to each application that meet or exceed OE design performance. The product line provides coverage for the majority of applications on the road today, including Cadillac, Chevy, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Honda, Jeep, Lincoln, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota and Volvo.

For medium-duty and air disc applications, these Raybestos specialty brake pads provide outstanding performance and stopping power, even in extreme load and temperature conditions, according to Raybestos. One hundred percent of the brake pads are manufactured with specially formulated semi-metallic friction materials that are mechanically attached to the backing plate. This unique process improves shear strength on large puck assemblies, reducing pad end lift and noise while increasing safety and pad life. Coverage includes Freightliner, Hino, International, Isuzu, Kenworth, Mack, Mercedes, Mitsubishi Fuso, Navistar, Peterbuilt, Pierce, Sterling, Volvo and Workhorse.
