Prolong Super Lubricants will host motorsports legend Shirley Muldowney and her 1977 National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) winning Top Fuel Dragster during the 13th annual Cruisin’ For A Cure car show. The event will take place Sept. 22 at the OCFair & Events Center in Costa Mesa, CA.

Muldowney, who was the first woman in any fuel class to take home an NHRA professional Series Crown, won the season-long 1977 Winston World Championship in the Top Fuel Division. This win was the start of Muldowney’s unprecedented three NHRA Top Fuel world championships achieved in 1977, 1980 and 1982.

Prolong currently sponsors Muldowney’s Top Fuel Dragster, which has been restored by its new owners Dave and Twila Mandella. The Mandellas utilize a variety of Prolong products in the high-horsepower dragster, including Nitro Racing Oil, Engine Treatment, Super Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer and SPL100 Super Penetrating Lubricant Spray.

As a sponsor of the Cruisin’ For A Cure event, Prolong will display its line of automotive lubricants and fuel additives in its booth, including the new 70W and 50W Nitro Racing Oil.

Cruisin’ For A Cure is a one-day charity custom/classic car show with more than 3,400 vehicles on display, more than 200 vendors and exhibitors and a 1.5-mile cruise route. The non-profit California organization raises money in support of the City of Hope, a leading research, treatment and education center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.
