Prestone Launches ’80 Years, 80 Days of Prizes’ Sweepstakes

Since 1927, the Prestone brand has protected cooling systems through decades of evolving engine operations and cooling system demands. To celebrate the brand’s 80-year history and thank the aftermarket as well as consumers for their support, Prestone is launching an Internet-based sweepstakes called "80 Years, 80 Days of Prizes."

To celebrate the brand’s 80-year history and thank the aftermarket as well as consumers for their support, Prestone is launching an Internet-based sweepstakes called “80 Years, 80 Days of Prizes.”

The sweepstakes began September 1 and will run through November 19, 2007. The promotion gives consumers the chance to win daily prizes including Prestone branded retro hats and T-shirts. The sweepstakes also offers a grand prize including two tickets to an NHRA event and $1,500 in spending cash. In addition, two First Prize recipients will win admission to a driving school in their area.

“Building a trusted brand is not something that happens overnight,” said Jeff Bye, Prestone Brand Leader. “For 80 years, the Prestone brand has provided retailers and customers quality products. We understand that this could not have been done without the help of loyal retailers and consumers.”

In support of “80 Years, 80 Days of Prizes,” the brand’s website, www.prestone.com, has been altered to feature details about the sweepstakes. To enter the sweepstakes, consumers simply have to click on the sweepstakes link found on the Prestone home page. Then he/she will be forwarded to a separate microsite to view more information about the “80 Years, 80 Days of Prizes” sweepstakes, learn about the brand’s history and link to My Garage, a website that gives consumers the ability to create a secure, personalized profile to manage maintenance information for their vehicles. After clicking on the sweepstakes link, visitors have to complete an entry form.
