New Productivity Features Added To Coverage In Snap-on Software Upgrade 15.2

Snap-onSnap-on has increased its vehicle coverage in the new Software Upgrade 15.2 for the Auto-ID, One-Touch Full Vehicle Code Scan and the One-Touch Code Clear features to provide effective, accurate and fast diagnostics out of the box and miles down the road.

The latest software upgrade includes 37 vehicle makes for the Auto-ID feature with GM, Nissan and Toyota now available. The One-Touch Full Vehicle Code Scan is offered for 36 vehicle makes, now including GM and Suzuki, and the One-Touch Code Clear is available for 27 vehicle makes with GM, Mazda, Nissan, Suzuki and Toyota recently added.

“With the new added features, technicians can easily identify a vehicle, assure a complete vehicle heath check for their customers and then easily clear all codes with the touch of just one button at each step,” said Christopher Hockett, product manager, Snap-on Diagnostics. “With capabilities such as these in Software Upgrade 15.2, technicians will be able to diagnose vehicles faster, so they can work on more cars during the course of a day.”

The Auto-ID feature allows a vehicle to identify itself to the scan tool automatically, saving technicians time and entry errors. With the One-Touch Full Vehicle Code Scan, in about 10 seconds or so technicians can check all applicable modules for trouble codes on a vehicle at once, instead of spending time checking each separately. When the technician has completed the job, the One-Touch Code Clear automatically clears all the codes with just one button, eliminating the need to clear codes in each module one at a time.

Software Upgrade 15.2 will keep a technician’s diagnostic tool up-to-date with the most comprehensive software, including access to over 93,270 new codes, tests, tips and data for 1998-2014 model years with the most extensive coverage outside the factory tool. The exclusive Fast-Track Troubleshooter coverage goes all the way back to 1980 with 36,374 new tips and timesavers. Plus, the new software offers 40,730 Guided Component Tests. The latest upgrade also includes SureTrack, the online support community that puts even more expert knowledge at technicians’ fingertips.
