The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) has launched a new website for its Know Your Parts campaign, www.AASAKnowYourParts.org. The site allows for easy, free download of information about the AASA industry awareness and education program, and highlights the importance of quality automotive aftermarket parts backed by full service suppliers.

"The AASA Know Your Parts website is designed to provide the entire aftermarket with an online resource for a wide variety of information on quality automotive aftermarket parts and components," said Steve Handschuh, president and COO of AASA. "The materials available from our new site range from campaign talking points to technical resources links from AASA aftermarket supplier members," he added.

Campaign materials available at the AASA Know Your Parts website include:
• Know Your Parts talking points flyer;
• "What Is a Full Service Supplier?" flyer;
• Know Your Parts presentation;
• Know Your Parts "Frequently Asked Questions" flyer;
• AASA Special Report: "Independent Repair Industry: Focus Group Findings on Buying Influences of Repair Professionals";
• AASA Special Report: "Independent Aftermarket Image: Quality Does Matter";
• AASA Special Report: "Direct Importing: Do the Risks Outweigh the Reward?"; and
• AASA Special Report: "Reseller Liability on Will-Fit, Private Label and Counterfeit Products."

Repair professionals seeking a one-stop resource of technical information about quality aftermarket parts can visit the Know Your Parts Technical Library page or the Member Links page. Both sections provide links to AASA supplier Web pages designed for repair professionals, offering trouble-shooting, repair and technical data.

The Know Your Parts site also includes more opportunities for AASA supplier members to get involved with the campaign. One of the site’s features is the "Participating Members" page, which displays a chart listing AASA supplier member companies currently supporting the campaign. Member support includes placement of the Know Your Parts logos and messages in corporate advertising, product information, news releases, websites, catalogs and more.

"The Know Your Parts website will be an important tool for the campaign as we continue to spread the word about quality aftermarket parts backed by full service suppliers," noted Jack Cameron, AASA vice president and group executive for the AASA Marketing Executives Council, which spearheads the campaign. "We are planning more campaign initiatives in the coming months, including an expanded exhibit at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo in November. All these initiatives will be announced through the site, so we urge everyone to bookmark the site and return often for the latest information," he added.
