New A/S UHP Launched by Toyo Tire USA

Toyo said its new Toyo Proxes 4 Plus "delivers ultra-high performance and all-season versatility plus better snow braking and significantly longer tread life."

Toyo Tire USA Corp. introduced the UHP all-season Toyo Proxes 4 Plus.

Now available now at Toyo dealers across the U.S., the company said the new tire “delivers ultra-high performance and all-season versatility plus better snow braking and significantly longer tread life than its leading competitor, plus a quieter ride over the life of the tire.”

Toyo claimed that “independent testing on a 2010 BMW 328i showed the Proxes 4 Plus to be safer in the snow, stopping six car lengths shorter than its leading competitor when new and over seven car lengths shorter when worn.”

New tread compound technology, Toyo said, allows “the Proxes 4 Plus to last up to 47% longer” than an unnamed competitor. “That equals 14,000 more miles of tread life and more savings on tires,” the company claimed.

“The Proxes 4 Plus represents an infusion of Toyo’s latest technology and materials to provide gains in both performance and overall tire life,” said Fardad Niknam, senior director of product planning and technical services. “We know both are important to today’s drivers and it is a balance we were able to achieve with this tire.”

The Proxes 4 Plus also comes with a treadwear warranty of up to 50,000 miles and qualifies for the Toyo Tires No Regrets 45-day, 500-mile trial offer. The lineup features 58 OE and replacement sizes.

Coinciding with the introduction is the Toyo Tires Plus Your Performance Contest on the tiremaker’s Facebook page. The contest will run June 11 to July 22; details and contest rules are at facebook.com/toyotires.
