International Speedway Corp. has provided details of the changes to its 2009 race schedules after NASCAR released its Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Truck series’ schedules. Notable changes and additions for ISC include:

• Auto Club Speedway’s fall NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide race weekend will move from Labor Day weekend to Oct. 10-11, 2009. Atlanta Motor Speedway, which is owned by Speedway Motorsports Inc., will move its fall Sprint Cup and Nationwide races to Labor Day weekend in 2009.

• Talladega Superspeedway’s fall NASCAR Sprint Cup and Truck race weekend will move to Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, with the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup AMP Energy 500 becoming the seventh race in the "Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup." The ARCA RE/MAX Series event to be held on Oct. 3, will move to Talladega’s spring NASCAR race weekend anchored by the Sprint Cup Aaron’s 499 on April 26, 2009.

• Chicagoland Speedway will host a NASCAR Truck race during the evening of Aug. 28, 2009, as a complement to the facility’s IRL IndyCar Series race scheduled for Aug. 29, 2009. The Chicagoland event will replace Atlanta’s late-season position on the 2008 Truck schedule.

"We are very pleased with the changes to our 2009 schedule of events including the addition of a Truck race in the third largest media market of Chicago," said ISC’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, John Saunders. "Auto Club Speedway benefits by moving its fall events to later in the year when the Southern California weather is more comfortable. In addition, Auto Club’s Pepsi 500 will become part of the 10-race Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. For Talladega, the combination of moving its fall races to later in the season and Atlanta moving its events to Labor Day weekend will result in more separation between Talladega and Atlanta’s fall race weekends. We are delighted that NASCAR was able to revise its schedules to better serve our fans."
