Shop owners and technicians with questions on how to service and repair a refrigerant recovery and recycling machine can have them answered on Friday, Jan. 17 at the MACS Training Event and Trade Show.

The MACS 2014 Training Event and Trade Show, "Power up," is the only global event where automotive technicians will be empowered for success in the total vehicle climate and thermal management service arena, the association says. Sophisticated automotive technology is on the road right now. As older vehicles are retired, success and profit in the service industry will rely heavily on a technician’s understanding of electronic controls and networks, their tie-ins with heating and cooling and the variety of tools and technology available to troubleshoot them.

The MACS annual golf tournament will take place Wednesday, Jan. 15 at TPC Louisiana, sponsored by Four Seasons. MACS golfers can play where the pros play on a world-class course.

MACS will also host a bowling party sponsored by Bergstrom at the Rock-N-Bowl. A favorite gathering place of New Orleans natives, attendees can bowl, party New Orleans style and have fun the night before MACS Training Event kicks off.

MACS technical training sessions will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Jan. 16-18 and the annual trade show will be held from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17.

Complete MACS 2014 Training Event and Trade Show information can be found at the MACS website on the training event pages at www.macsw.org.
