The Interamerican Motor Corporation (IMC) became the 22nd shareholder to join ATR International AG (ATR) buying group, the first and only member located in the United States. Today 29 independent worldwide trading firms headquartered in 29 countries, make up the membership of ATR.

“It’s a privilege and great opportunity to be able to join ATR,” stated Thomas Beer, president & CEO of IMC. “Joining forces with the leading parts distributors across Europe will allow for a unique knowledge transfer and an improved purchasing position for the benefit of our customers. The experiences within the ATR group with workshop, trading and training concepts will support IMC’s position as the Import Parts Solution for the aftermarket in the United States.”

“We intended to extend our shareholders by an US market leader and are proud to welcome IMC in our membership now,” stated Roland Dilmetz, chairman of ATR. “IMC’s commitment to being the aftermarket’s Import Parts Solution in the United States, coupled with their experience in European and Asian car lines, exactly fits our members’ focus and our desire to expand our presence in the world’s largest passenger vehicle market.”

ATR International AG was established in 1999 due to the growing internationalization of the procurement market and the cross border exchange of goods and services in Europe. The primary objective of ATR is to strengthen the position of its members in the market through coordinated purchasing activities.
