Ingersoll Rand Receives Top 5 Tools Award From TechShop Magazine

Ingersoll Rand, a global leader in professional tools and equipment, received a Top 5 Tools Award from TechShop magazine for the eighth straight year. This is the only tool and equipment award in the industry chosen by technicians and shop owners.

Ingersoll Rand, a global leader in professional tools and equipment, received a Top 5 Tools Award from TechShop magazine for the eighth straight year. This is the only tool and equipment award in the industry chosen by technicians and shop owners.

Award winners are determined by the number of times a company or product is mentioned between January and December 2012 in the “Top 5 Favorite Tools” section of TechShop. The Ingersoll Rand 2135TiMAX impact wrench and the 1105MAX-D2 air ratchet were the two products mentioned by readers that solidified the win.

The 2135TiMAX is Ingersoll Rand’s top-selling impact wrench. It weighs in at only 3.95 pounds and is capable of producing 780 ft-lb of torque, giving it the best power-to-weight ratio in its class. The feather- touch trigger and patented four-position power regulator dial gives users maximum control. The impact wrench also features a one-hand forward/reverse switch for easy operation.

The 1105MAX-D2 air ratchet produces 30 ft-lb of torque. Combined with 300 rpm, this air ratchet provides an optimal torque/speed combination. It offers the same feather-touch trigger for enhanced control and an easily accessible variable power regulator. The unique head construction on the 1105MAX-D2 provides a more consistent performance over the life of the ratchet, so technicians can do the job and do it right.

“We feel very strongly that we need to educate our readers about new, innovative products,” said Sean Donohue, associate publisher of TechShop, “but ultimately, it’s the technicians themselves who make the choice in the end. Ingersoll Rand has received the Top 5 Tools Award every year since 2005, which shows they understand the value of continuously bringing new products to the marketplace to help technicians do their jobs more efficiently.”

“Ingersoll Rand designs tools with the technician in mind, so it’s rewarding to receive an award based on customer satisfaction,” said Nate Schmid, marketing manager for vehicle services with Ingersoll Rand. "This is a testament to the strength of our brand and the innovative tools that we provide professional technicians."
