To improve site navigation and offer visitors enhanced product information, Hobart Welding Products recently launched a re-design of its website, www.HobartWelders.com. Among the new features is an easy-to-use navigation menu with process-specific icons that direct visitors to welding, cutting and accessory product pages. The re-design also enables viewing on screen resolutions of 1024 x 768, presenting more information with less scrolling.

“Welding is becoming more accessible and user-friendly, to individuals with home shops, farmers and those who weld for a living or as a hobby,” states Caleb Krisher, product manager with Hobart Welding Products. “The new design of HobartWelders.com aims to mirror these same advancements online and provide easier access to product and process information.”

Expanded Weld Talk Forum
Weld Talk, www.HobartWelders.com/weldtalk, Hobart’s popular online user-forum, was redesigned to improve speed and access for its 12,661 members. Forums of interest were organized under a new set of categories covering: Office, Equipment Talk, Application Talk, Welding Projects, Conversations by the Community, Classified Ads and a Weld Talk Topic Archive. The site has improved search capabilities and several new tools to enhance interaction among members. This effort eases searching for topics through 284,668 posts currently listed.

“Friendships are always being forged on this website,” Krisher states. “Every member owns a piece of what is there through their posts. It’s really a place where individuals who live welding for work and fun can collaborate on projects and help each other out.”

In addition to Weld Talk, the Hobart website contains other educational benefits. The product area displays features and specifications on all Hobart products.
