Wells Vehicle Electronics has received the Gold Award for Outstanding On-Time Shipping Performance from General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales, the automaker's automotive parts and service operation.

Wells Vehicle Electronics has received the Gold Award for Outstanding On-Time Shipping Performance from General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales, the automaker’s automotive parts and service operation. The Gold Award recognizes key suppliers that have achieved 99 percent or better on-time shipping performance over the preceding 12 months.

The award was presented to employees at Wells’ North American distribution complex in Centerville, IA.

“On-time shipping performance, coupled with our world-class product technologies, is a key competitive advantage in today’s aftermarket,” said William Nonnamaker, vice president of sales and marketing, Wells Vehicle Electronics. “We are pleased to serve several of the industry’s largest distribution networks, each of which helps challenge us to continually improve the effectiveness and value of our products and services. This prestigious award tells us we’re doing the right things every day.”

Wells says the 200,000-square-foot Centerville distribution facility features highly advanced packaging lines, leading-edge process automation and real-time inventory control linked directly to the company’s headquarters in Fond du Lac, WI. Wire-guided vehicles stock and pick orders from among Wells’ more than 38,000 part numbers. The facility is ISO 14001 certified.
