Gates Announces New Sweepstakes For Auto Care Professionals

Gates Corp., a global diversified manufacturer of industrial, automotive and heavy-duty products, has announced its “Be System Smart” sweepstakes, which runs through Aug. 15. The sweepstakes gives auto care professionals a chance to test their general automotive knowledge as well as remind them of the importance of system-based automotive repair and replacement in order to be entered for a chance to win prizes. The promotion will feature Sarah Burgess, the Gates-sponsored BMI Racing driver, who races in the Pro Lite Truck class of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS).

Participants will be asked to complete the “Be System Smart” sweepstakes quiz and afterward will be entered for the chance to win prizes, including Oakley sunglasses, a Rockwell watch, VP Racing Gear and other Gates-branded merchandise.

As part of the promotion, Burgess will be touting Gates’ “Be System Smart” message, which encourages the Car Care Council’s recommendation to inspect the serpentine, cooling and timing systems at 60,000 miles and replace worn components at 90,000 miles or as advised by the manufacturer. In addition, Burgess will promote the sweepstakes via social media channels with a series of videos to build excitement for the initiative.

“This sweepstakes gives us a chance to connect in a meaningful way with auto care professionals about system-based automotive repair and replacement,” said Todd Hack, vice president of automotive aftermarket at Gates Corp. “We are thrilled to partner with Sarah Burgess to help us bring our ‘Be System Smart’ message home to this important audience.”
