Federated Raises $200,000 For Toys For Tots

FED_TFT-logo-stackedNo one celebrates Christmas in July quite like Federated Auto Parts. As in past years, Federated has donated a large sum to the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program with the help of its members and suppliers. This year’s summer donation was a record-setting $200,000.

“Federated members and vendor partners have something special in common. They are all very generous and committed to helping those less fortunate,” said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts. “We want to thank everyone who participated in our annual Toys for Tots auction. It was a fun night for a great cause and we are very fortunate to work with such giving people.”

The Federated Toys for Tots auction was held during the Federated national meeting, following the annual awards dinner. Among the items auctioned were a “Get Dirty with Kenny” dirt track racing weekend, a personal appearance by Kenny Schrader, and several Federated Auto Parts 400 activities, including driving the pace car, waving the green flag and serving as the starter of the Federated 400.

“Although we raised quite a bit of money for Toys for Tots already, our members are not stopping there,” said Bishop. “Many of them have already started their local Toys for Tots campaigns or have made collecting toys and donations a year-round charitable activity. Due to their kindness, we are looking forward to making another donation to the campaign in December.”
