Michael Berger, owner of Newport Auto Center in Wilmington, DE, found the car of his dreams at the Mecum Kissimmee Auction in Kissimmee, FL.
Berger was the grand prize winner of the Federated Auto Parts-Standard brand Oxygen Sensors “Dream Car Sweepstakes.” He received an all-expense paid trip for two to the Florida auction, plus $15,000 to spend on the car of his dreams: a 1992 Mercedes SL500.
“We want to congratulate Michael on finding his dream car. With so many classic and muscle cars on display, it must have been pretty tough to narrow it down to one car,” said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts. “Many thanks to Standard for partnering with us on this exciting promotion.”
Bishop and Bill Collins of Standard Motor Products were on hand at the Mecum Kissimmee auction when Berger chose his dream car. The auction was held Jan. 28-31 and was broadcast live on Discovery Communications’ HD Theater during Mecum’s popular television series, “Mecum Auto Auction: Muscle Cars & More.”
