Federated Auto Parts has partnered with Mitchell 1 to integrate its Teamworks/Business Performance Services products with the Federated Autoi Network, according to Herb Godschalk, chairman of Federated’s information technology committee.

The comprehensive Federated Autoi Network consists of online parts catalogs and ordering, job-quoting, technical reference material, labor guides, shop management tools and a myriad of other tools to assist shop owners and parts buyers in their day-to-day operations.

“We believe that Mitchell 1’s TeamWorks/Business Performance Services products combined with the Federated Autoi Network will offer the aftermarket a unique and powerful technology solution,” said Godschalk. “This latest addition makes the Federated Autoi Network the most advanced e-commerce product suite in the industry.”

Prior to the Mitchell 1 partnership, other third-party technologies have become an integral part of Autoi, including RO Writer, a leading shop management software package, and Point5 Technologies, an online provider of technical reference material like repair procedures, specifications, wiring diagrams and related databases.

Recently, Federated announced that its Autoi Network reached a major milestone by electronically connecting to 10,000 customers, reaching this goal at a faster rate than expected.
