Federal-Mogul Corporation will help consumers learn how to increase the reliability and extend the service life of their vehicles through its “Drive Smart Summer Service” campaign, running July 1 through August 31, 2009.

Throughout the program period, consumers who purchase any of the following Federal-Mogul branded products – ANCO wiper blades, Carter fuel delivery products, Champion spark plugs and additives, Fel-Pro gaskets, MOOG chassis parts, Wagner ThermoQuiet brake pads/shoes, and Wagner lighting products – will receive a free “Car Care Guide” and be entered into a sweepstakes drawing for vehicle maintenance gift cards valued at up to $500 each. This special offer will be advertised through print media and in-store point-of-sale displays at thousands of leading service providers and parts stores throughout the U.S.

Created by the Car Care Council, the 56-page Car Care Guide is an invaluable all-in-one reference tool designed to help consumers understand the operation and maintenance requirements of key vehicle systems and component groups. The fully illustrated guide offers detailed, consumer-friendly information covering 12 major systems/component groups and nine common vehicle service occasions.

“In these challenging times, consumers are looking for ways to extend the service lives of their vehicles,” said Lou Kafantaris, group brand manager, Federal-Mogul. “Federal-Mogul is uniquely positioned to help consumers manage the vehicle maintenance experience to keep their vehicles operating at peak performance levels. The Car Care Guide is a great tool for becoming more knowledgeable and confident regarding automotive services.”

Effective July 1, consumers who purchase a qualifying Federal-Mogul product will be able to register online at www.FMDriveSmart.com to receive a free Car Care Guide and be entered into the Drive Smart Sweepstakes for a chance to win a free vehicle maintenance gift card.
