Federal-Mogul Corporation’s Ferodo ThermoQuiet Light Vehicle Brake Pad has won the prestigious EQUIP AUTO Grands Prix Gold Award for automotive innovation. Winners were chosen by an international jury of 82 journalists from 27 countries, and were announced recently at the 11th International Grands Prix Awards Ceremony at EQUIP AUTO.

Ferodo’s ThermoQuiet is the first brake pad to use revolutionary technology to enhance all elements related to comfort and durability without compromising friction performance. Developed within Federal-Mogul’s global network of friction research facilities, the pad features an innovative one-piece design with a patented Integrally Molded Insulator (IMI) anti-noise technology. This exclusive technology seamlessly integrates the shim, friction material and backing plate into a single unit to allow maximum dissipation of noise-causing vibration and other brake-related energy. ThermoQuiet brake pads represent Federal-Mogul’s commitment to offer aftermarket customers the best in OE quality, design and function.

"We are extremely proud and honored that our ThermoQuiet brake pad has received an international award of this distinction within the automotive aftermarket," said Mauro Parisi, vice president, Federal-Mogul Aftermarket Products and Services, Europe, Middle East and Africa. "Our Ferodo brand is synonymous with braking leadership and has earned its prominent position in the marketplace by developing proven, innovative solutions for virtually every type of vehicle, driving style and customer. The ThermoQuiet pad represents a breakthrough that will benefit thousands of repair providers and potentially millions of vehicle owners throughout Europe.

"I want to commend our talented Federal-Mogul employees for making this award possible. This recognition reflects our steadfast commitment to technology and innovation in our quest to deliver world-class products, brands and services to our customers worldwide," Parisi added.
