Elgin Ranked Among ‘Best of the Best’ by JASPER for 8th Straight Year

Only a handful of JASPER's hundreds of suppliers are selected annually for the award based on product quality, service, fill rate, response time to a problem, billing and credit procedures, and other criteria.

Elgin Industries has received the “Preferred Partner” Award from JASPER Engines & Transmissions, North America’s largest remanufacturer of gasoline and diesel drivetrain components, for the eighth consecutive year. The award was presented to Elgin National Sales and Marketing Manager Rick Simko during JASPER’s Preferred Partners Banquet Sept. 10 in Jasper, IN.

Elgin, which supplies a wide array of precision-engineered internal engine components used in JASPER engines, has received the Preferred Partner Award every year since 2001. Only a handful of JASPER’s hundreds of suppliers are selected annually for the award based on product quality, service, fill rate, response time to a problem, billing and credit procedures, and other criteria.

“We begin every day with an intense focus on fulfilling the business needs of each of our customers,” Simko said. “Our ability to continue to rank among the top suppliers to an organization of the size and scope of JASPER is a testament to the talent and dedication of our employees. This commitment to excellence is a truly an integral part of our culture.”

In accepting the award, Simko presented JASPER executives with a large framed poster commemorating the companies’ combined 150-plus years of industry leadership. Elgin marked its 90th anniversary earlier this year.

Elgin Industries is a Tier One supplier of original equipment engine and chassis components to organizations such as General Motors, Mack, Navistar and Harley-Davidson, and a leading, all-makes/all-models supplier of replacement automotive and heavy-duty parts. The company operates an advanced manufacturing and headquarters facility in Elgin, IL.

Elgin has earned dozens of quality awards, is QS9000 certified and has received its certificate of registration for the ISO/TS 16949:2002 Quality Management System.
