Delphi said it wants to create a dream come true for one lucky technician this year with its “Win the Delphi Dream Shop” giveaway. The giveaway, to be announced at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in November, will provide one technician with Delphi parts, tools, equipment and training to help them upgrade their current shop or build their own dream shop. The prize is part of Delphi’s third-annual "Destination: Victory Lane" promotion.

The "Delphi Dream Shop" giveaway includes electronic equipment needed to service today’s vehicle electronics, such as a high-performance laptop with shop management software, A/C recovery machine, diagnostic tool pro scanner, diagnostics software, OBDII/CAN hand-held reader and fuel system tester. Other items include shop supplies such as a lift to 11,000 pound capacity, transmission jack, compressor and air tools, two-ton service jack, engine lift, tire changer and balancer, battery charger and tester and brake lathe.

Delphi is offering the winner comprehensive training, as well as a subscription to Delphi’s RepairPoint to provide further online diagnostic support. The technician will also receive Delphi parts from its fuel, engine management, heating and cooling and diesel product portfolio.

Whether it’s a Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen or Chrysler, Delphi says its wide import and domestic application coverage includes fuel pumps for three out of four vehicles in North America, and 95 percent O2 coverage. Delphi also covers more than half of all engine management repairs with its comprehensive ignition, emission, sensors and fuel injectors/regulators product assortment. This broad application coverage includes vehicles from 1985 to current model year.

“As partner to 25 of the largest OEMs worldwide and an aftermarket leader, we know what it takes to repair the electronic systems in today’s vehicles,” said Frank Ordoñez, president, Delphi Product & Service Solutions. “We are very excited to offer a chance for one technician to open their own shop and start with the right parts, tools and training. It clearly demonstrates our passion for the industry and a desire to help technicians in their day-to-day responsibilities.”

In addition to the "Dream Shop" grand prize, technicians also have the chance to win monthly, weekly and instant prizes including 42-inch HD TVs, fender covers, technician gloves, BassPro gift cards, Delphi merchandise and more. They can also follow Delphi-sponsored Hendrick Motorsports race teams all while learning about Delphi’s engine management, fuel management and heating and cooling products for Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Volkswagen and Honda vehicles to name a few.

Technicians can sign up at www.delphi.com/victorylane.

Past "Destination: Victory Lane" winners have enjoyed race weekends in Dover, Charlotte and Homestead with “meet-and-greets” with Hendrick Motorsports drivers. One winner participated behind the scenes at a Delphi photo and video shoot with Mark Martin at Hendrick Motorsports headquarters.

“Destination: Victory Lane has steadily grown from its inception in 2009 to more than 10,000 active participants,” said Carrie Wright, vice president, Global Brand, Communications & Promotions, DPSS. “It appeals to technicians by giving them important technology and repair information they can use to service almost any vehicle on the road today. It also gives them unique access to some of their favorite Hendrick drivers like Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin, as well as their crew chiefs.”

Once registered at Delphi’s Destination: Victory Lane website, technicians are encouraged to come back every day for more entries and chances to win. Included in the Delphi Dream Shop grand prize are:

• Delphi OE-quality parts for almost any vehicle including Toyota, Honda, Chrysler, GM, Ford and more.
• Kobalt hand tools, tool chest, air tools and compressor.
• Service equipment including a Lincoln Industries Mityvac fuel system tester, AC recovery machine, brake lathe, battery tester/charger and tire changer/balancer.
