Centric Parts Moves Pad Assembly And Kitting Operations To City Of Industry Facility

Centric Parts announced it has transferred its brake pad assembly and kitting functions from its Carson, Calif., facility to a portion of the recently acquired 100,000 square feet of new warehouse and office space at its City of Industry campus.

CentricAccording to Sal Bora, Centric Parts director of operations, this move more closely positions final assembly and shipping, and allows the vacated Carson space to be used for Centric’s continually expanding caliper remanufacturing program.

“The new building in City of Industry is the perfect place to locate our pad assembly and kitting operations,” said Bora. “Industry is where our warehousing and shipping occur, so logistically it makes sense. The move also gives us more space in Carson to expand our caliper reman operations, which was sorely needed to keep up with the ever-increasing demand.”

The new brake pad operations will include pad assembly, hardware kit assembly, packaging and shipping for a wide range of Centric brake pads, including the award-winning line of Posi Quiet Semi-Metallic, Ceramic and Extended Wear, Centric 100-Series OE friction, Centric Premium Metallic and Ceramic, StopTech Street Performance and Centric Fleet Performance, and C-Tek Metallic and Ceramic friction.

In addition to the new pad assembly and kitting operations, Centric’s City of Industry campus will continue to handle sales and customer service, as well as shipping and receiving of finished goods.
