The Car Care Council Women’s Board (WB) announces the early participants in the inaugural WB Aftermarket Women’s Business Summit, scheduled for Nov. 1-3 in Las Vegas, NV, during the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX). To date, the companies hosting female shop owners and managers attending the summit include Advance Auto Parts, The Pep Boys, Crow-Burlingame/Bumper-to-Bumper and National Pronto Association. In addition, Northwood University will be sending four students as the recipients of the Continental Female Leadership Scholarship.

“These companies hosting their customers at the first-ever summit recognize the importance of introducing their female shop owners and managers to AAPEX – the industry’s main event,” said WB president Ruth Ehlinger, AAA. “We are pleased to offer them this unique experience, along with educational and networking sessions focused on empowering them to achieve business and professional success.”

Retailers, program groups, independent warehouses and manufacturers’ reps are encouraged to invite and host female shop owners and managers from their companies to participate in the inaugural Aftermarket Women’s Business Summit. Hosts will receive recognition on signage at the event, and opportunities to lead their attendees on a guided tour of AAPEX and entertain them for a dinner function. Hosts provide conference registration ($225), airfare and hotel accommodations for each customer attendee. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for all industry manufacturers and suppliers.

Companies and organizations that are interested in hosting attendees for the event, or sponsoring the summit, should contact the WB at [email protected], or call (240) 333-1019.
