Brembo made its debut at Detroit’s North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January 2016. In addition to showcasing more than 30 brake components in its booth, including new improved ventilated discs, electro-mechanical parking brakes and interactive disc concepts and the fully electric “Brake By Wire” concept system, Brembo products were fitted on more than 50 vehicles displayed by global automotive manufacturers, including on the Ford GT, Chevrolet Corvette C7 and Viper ACR.
“Brembo produces high-quality products that are highly stylized as well,” Dan Sandberg, president and CEO, Brembo North America. “Our products are selected by the OEMs because of those two factors. We work daily with our OEM partners to develop new, custom colors to enhance the look of the vehicles as well as functionality and design.”
In Brembo’s booth, the first display features Brembo’s stylized high-performance, street calipers, along with the latest in carbon ceramic material brake discs. The recently introduced, award-winning eight-piston aluminum B-M8 caliper, an aftermarket brake specifically designed for the front braking systems of trucks, SUVs and large high-performance sedans, sits alongside six-piston aluminum calipers for the Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE63, Dodge Charger Hellcat and Chevrolet Corvette Z07, atop a dual cast disc with overcast aluminum hat, a two-piece floating disc and a Carbon Ceramic Material (CCM) disc, respectively.
This is the first time that Brembo has exhibited its products at NAIAS. Its booth also featured the all-new Ferrari 488 GTB.
