BorgWarner’s Advanced Technologies Featured On The 2015 North American Car And Truck/Utility Of The Year

The 2015 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year winners — Volkswagen Golf and Ford F-150, respectively — feature advanced technologies from BorgWarner. In addition, BorgWarner provides systems and components for all of the finalists in the annual competition, including the Ford Mustang, Hyundai Genesis, Chevrolet Colorado and Lincoln MKC.

“Around the world, automakers are striving to deliver improved fuel economy and performance while meeting strict emissions regulations. At BorgWarner, we collaborate with our customers, providing a broad range of innovative technologies to help achieve these challenging goals and give drivers a fun-to-drive experience,” said James Verrier, president and CEO, BorgWarner. “We are proud to contribute to the success of all of these notable vehicles. Congratulations to this year’s winners and finalists for this prestigious industry recognition.”

For these distinguished vehicles, BorgWarner supplies one or more advanced technologies, including chain timing systems, HY-VO transfer case chains, variable cam timing technologies, turbochargers, ignition coils, friction plates and one-way clutches for automatic transmissions, dual-clutch and mechatronic modules for dual-clutch transmissions, part-time and on-demand all-wheel-drive transfer cases, and front-wheel-drive electronic limited-slip differentials.

The North American Car and Truck/Utility Awards honor vehicles for setting new benchmarks in design, safety, innovation and value. Selected by an independent jury of 57 automotive journalists representing magazines, television, radio, newspapers and websites from the United States and Canada, winners were announced during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
