Moving into a new year marking the fourth season of sponsorship, Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper has contracted with Gillett Evernham Motorsports as the primary sponsor for six 2008 NASCAR races. This partnership embraces the entire Gillett Evernham family of drivers including Kasey Kahne and the legendary Ray Evernham.

Taking the wheel of the Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper No. 10 Dodge for two 2008 Sprint Cup races will be new Gillett Evernham Motorsports teammate, former IndyCar Series and Champ Car driver, Patrick Carpentier. The Canadian native made a splash in his NASCAR debut in Montreal by qualifying on the pole and finishing second in his first career Busch Series race. He made just as an impressive premier during his Nextel Cup introduction on August 12 driving the No. 10 Dodge and finishing 22nd after leading a season high seven laps.

After completing his final race for Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper on November 3, 2007 at Texas Motor Speedway, Elliott Sadler is ready to begin his second year of driving duties for the aftermarket giant in two Nationwide Series races in 2008.

Rounding out the 2008 NASCAR schedule will be Carpentier and a third yet to be named driver maneuvering the Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper No. 9 Dodge for two Nationwide Series events.

Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper will be an associate sponsor of the Gillett Evernham Dodges for all other Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races in 2008 and will receive branding on Gillett Evernham team uniforms, team haulers and pit equipment.

Richard H. Morgan, president and CEO of Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper, had this to say, “We’re pleased to team up with Gillett Evernham for another year and look forward to bigger and better things in 2008 as we continue to build on our successes together on and off the track.” “With the addition of Patrick to the team, we’re sure his potential will continue to develop throughout the year and solidify our place as a premier NASCAR sponsor.”
