Uni-Select announces a series of multi-year sponsorship agreements with the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and its affiliated venues.

According to Brent Windom, Uni-Select vice president North American marketing and product development, Auto-Plus is now the title-rights sponsor for NHRA’s national event at Maplegrove Raceway, located about an hour northeast of Philadelphia. The 27th annual Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals, running September 29-October 2, highlight a program that also includes Auto-Plus becoming the Official Automotive Parts Retailer at the Atlanta Dragway and at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park (southeast of Cleveland).

“We are pleased to form this relationship with NHRA and three of its most outstanding facilities,” Windom said.  “This strategic partnership will help us strengthen key customer relationships in several important markets, and reinforce with technicians and DIYers that Auto-Plus is their trusted source of automotive parts and accessories from the industry’s leading suppliers.”

According to Windom, Auto-Plus will host hospitality events and distribute thousands of tickets to NHRA races, including the Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals, and the 2011 Full Throttle Series events at the two tracks where it is the Official Automotive Parts Retailer – the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals in Atlanta, and the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, OH.
