Ateq Launches New Tire Tread Gauge

Ateq TPMS Tools has added the Tire Tread Depth Gauge (TTD) to its line of TPMS tool accessories for the VT56 OBDII TPMS Diagnostic Tool. When connected to the VT56 TPMS tool, the TTD allows technicians to complete a tire and TPMS sensor check during routine maintenance.

When connected to the VT56 TPMS tool, the TTD allows technicians to complete a tire and TPMS sensor check during routine maintenance. The device does not need charged or a Bluetooth connection to operate when connected to the VT56 tool, Ateq said.

The TTD captures inner, center and outer tire measurements – with an accuracy of 0.0012 inches – and results are displayed on the VT56 screen with green, yellow and red color codes to indicate wear against the threshold, the company said.

Results can also be transferred to a computer or an onboard SD card, stored in the VT56 tool’s history or printed to the VT56 optional IR thermal printer.
