AMS Automotive Expands Brake Offerings With Wire Sensor Program

AMS Automotive is elevating its brake offerings with the launch of its Electronic Wire Sensor program to complement several of its brake lines.

Electric wire sensors are attached to the brake pad to alert drivers when their brake pads need to be replaced. The product line adds more than 140 part numbers to AMS Automotive’s catalog. The sensors will accompany AMS Automotive’s ProQuiet, UltraQuiet, TITAN Severe Duty and Intimidator disc pad lines, and use the best rubber and plastic materials to ensure proper functionality and durability in the heat generated by the braking system, the company says.

“The aim of AMS Automotive is to provide the best brake products to the aftermarket,” said Director of Brake Products Gil Pulliam Jr. “Providing complete coverage in our line of electronic wire sensors is a continuation of that effort.”

Applications covered under the new program include Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Mini, Cadillac, Volkswagen, Porsche and Land Rover models produced between 1975 and 2014. The sensors feature OE-specific terminals and connectors. In addition, AMS Automotive’s line of UltraQuiet Premium Grade brake pads were featured on The Discovery Channel’s Velocity network program “Motorhead Garage” on Aug. 12 and Aug. 19.

“This is a real premium brake pad,” said TV host Sam Memmolo of the UltraQuiet line of brake pads on the show. “You can see the quality. Even the backing plate is coated – that way it won’t rust. You want to look for those little details that will make your brake job last longer.”

The wire sensors are available now.
