The Activant Cover-to-Cover graphical eCatalog module continues to establish new records for customer usage, exceeding 100 million total user visits in 2010 and logging a single-month record of 10.4 million visits in July.

The Activant Cover-to-Cover graphical eCatalog module continues to establish new records for customer usage, exceeding 100 million total user visits in 2010 and logging a single-month record of 10.4 million visits in July. More than 200 million user visits have been recorded by the graphical eCat since its inception in 2004.

Year-to-date user visits through July were more than 101,555,000, a 3.3-percent increase over all of 2009. The module also set records in July for busiest week (nearly 2.4 million) and busiest day (400,490).

Now used in more than 5,000 distributor and jobber locations as well as tens of thousands of repair shops, the Activant Cover-to-Cover module includes over 4 million part images, diagrams, MSDS sheets, technical bulletins, installation instructions and specification listings. The fast, convenient availability of this information helps users increase sales and productivity, minimize returns and enhance customer satisfaction. The module is available for the full suite of PartExpert eCatalog products, including the revolutionary LaserCat 3, ePartExpert and Activant ShopCat applications.

“Customer reliance on this tool has exploded over the past year, and we expect this trend to continue as manufacturers provide even more images, bulletins and other information that adds value to every part sale,” said Paul Salsgiver, executive vice president, Activant Solutions.

Activant eCatalogs are the preferred reference tools among North American auto parts distributors, jobbers and service dealers, with the catalog interface and data tightly integrated into their point of sale and shop management systems.
